Welcome to the Big Trip
Welcome to my blog in which I'll be capturing my travels on my 'big trip'. The big trip has a long genesis; it's been my fall-back plan from all of the rounds of redundancy I went through at Norwich Union/Aviva, or the plan for when I retire ...... redundancy or retirement are the only scenarios where I'd get enough time to explore far flung destinations as I'd like. I finally fell victim to (or was lucky enough to get) redundancy at the back end of the Covid pandemic, and decided to retire at that point. So, the big trip. What is it all? There are various places I've wanted to explore for a long while, so I'm taking myself off on an Antipodean summer trip for pretty much the first half of 2024 to explore:- French Polynesia where I'll visit Tahiti, Moorea and Bora-Bora.
